U9 Orange

What a day it was for the U9 Orange against the Valley Dragons Green team. With the sun shining and the chilly wind blowing, the day kicked off with terrific camaraderie and the U9 Black team setting up a Tiger tunnel for theย Orange team to run out on the field led by Captain of the day, Joe.

The camaraderie continued on the field after the whistle was blown with all team members in the first quarter backing each other up during defence and supporting during attack. 3 tries were scored in this quarter by Nelson, Kobe and Nathan, which they all converted and set the team up well for the game. Through the remaining 3 quarters the boys continued to support each other in defence and continued to find gaps in the Dragons line during attack. Christian and Lachie were always up with the pack to help out with support tackles and Owen got his first conversion through the posts๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Ollie has seemed to find a great groove in dummy half and continues to try on a couple of tricky DH runs which nearly saw him score a try but was unfortunately a centimetre short of the try line – no doubt you will nail this next game Ollie, keep trying!

It was a great game to watch and a solid effort across the team which was demonstrated in the team landing 8 tries (Nelson 2, Kobe 2, Lucas 2 and Nathan 2) and seven conversions (Nelson, Kobe, Lucas, Ollie, Owen, Nathan and Joe).

It was a tough week for awards as everyone played really well – Man of the Match went to Nelson, Tackler of the Week – Lucas and Managerโ€™s Award for Best Team Player – Christian.๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ย Well done boys!

See you all in Kambah next Sunday morning to take on the Tuggeranong Buffaloes.

U6 Black

Big game last week against the Bungendore Orange. Very good signs for Bungendore as both team are very good. My boys played well in a very close game. Fynn had a break out game, getting best player for the day and closely behind was Remy, veryย hard to pick this game.
