Juniors: Match report – Round 1

U6 Orange

U6 orange had a great first game. There was lots of tackles and tries from the players. We were all very impressed with their first game.

U/7’s had a huge game against Valley Dragons. It was an extremely close one with lots of tries for both teams. The team showed excellent sportsmanship and determination throughout the whole game! We have a super team this year with a lot of the kids really stepping up from last season. We are thrilled to welcome Joey, Mitchell, Vinn and Joe to our team this year. Everyone played out of their skins with solid defence and strong attack. A big congratulations to Joey for being our player of the match. Thanks to our mums and dads for being so helpful and organised. It’s very much appreciated.

U8 Black

The U8 Blacks enjoyed a great return to the season against Queanbeyan. Everyone had a great run, with tries to William, Logan and Tommy. Aidan played his first ever game and showed his bravery and determination with a few great tackles resulting in the Coaches Encouragement Award. Everyone is looking forward to a fun season with Coach Jason at the helm.

What a great start for the U9s.

In a see-saw game our players held tight, especially after not scoring in the first period, and went in to the half time break all square.  The Sharks then dominated in the 3rd period before the Tigers ran in for two tries and hung on.

The game was played in a fabulous spirit by both sides.

Coaches Award : Very hard decision and we would love to give it to everyone – Lachlan W. – well done Lachie! With a brilliant team effort by everyone else.  Go the Tigers!

Bungendore tigers Under 11’s welcome some new players this year, but despite the new team dynamic, they all played like stars. Unfortunately, we went down to the Stockman 16-14.

Other teams’ reports may be added when they become available. Photos of some games are not available due to Child Protection requirements
