Juniors: Round 8 match reports

Round 8 Bungendore U14 girls took on Belconnen United Sharks at the Melba Playing fields. It was a very close game with tries to Ashlee, Ruby and Ellie (2) and conversions from Ashlee and Hannah.

The final score was Bungendore 20 – Belconnen Sharks 14. Player of the match this week went to Isla with some brilliant defence and tagging. The U14 girls were privileged this week to play an extra game straight after their match versing the Score Raiders team, this team consists of people (men and women) with a range of disabilities who want to get involved in either rugby or league tag. The Score Raiders team came away with the win after some fantastic tries. We are very proud of the sportsmanship displayed by the U14 girls, it was a great game to watch.

Fantastic game by every player. This team is something special, and getting better and better each game. Very hard to pick the stand players this week as everyone eas so good. Mason and Henry were joint man of the match, closely followed by Fynn and Jackson. The boys were up against a very good team and won easily. Can’t wait for this Sunday at Tiger Land

U9 Orange

This week the Mighty Tigers brought their ‘Game On’ and it was clear from the start the team were ready to play their best this week against the Queanbeyan Blues at Wright Park.

The team were led by Captain Christian and the good vibes were again started by Kobe killing it down the side of the field to score the first try! This was the first of many. The tackle count was low this week with the team spending most of their time in attack.
The teams defence was on point with the Blues only able to score 2 tries in the first and second quarter and none in the third and fourth quarter. It was a great game to watch and see the boys really come through on passing, tackling and supporting each other like they have practicing at training. Special mention to Jayman, U9 Black, for stepping in and helping out this week – thanks Jayman!

Tries this week went to Kobe x2, Lucas x2, Nelson x2, Nathan x 2 & Jayman x1. Man of the Match went to Nathan, Tackler of the Week, Nelson and the Manager’s Team Player of the Week, Lucas for supporting his team mates throughout the game.

See you all at home this week, again game ready for the Cooma Colts.
