Juniors: Less than 24 hours til games!

Less than 24 hours until the first games of our season! Although everyone will be excited, it’s important to remember positive and encouraging behaviour is required from all of our participants including spectators.

The NSWRL Tough Love in League Policy and associated penalties again apply this year, as the League and our Club remain committed to curb unacceptable behaviour both on and beside the field. Penalty posters will again be displayed on game day – but it’s worth remembering that player, official, and spectator behaviour can result in penalties against your child’s team (https://www.nswrl.com.au/siteassets/documents/2021-documents/tough-love-in-league-policy—penalties.pdf).

Bungendore Tigers Juniors are again participating in Shoosh for Kids throughout May. Shoosh for Kids is a collaborative effort between the Office of Sport and sector partners to encourage positive spectator behaviour at junior sport. Keep it positive. Keep it fun. Keep kids coming back to junior sport! #ShooshForKids

Shoosh for Kids isn’t about staying completely silent, it’s just about making sure we’re all positive. The six key messages are:

🏈Think before you speak
🏈Encouraging positive spectator behaviour
🏈Keep it positive. Keep it fun.
🏈Let coaches do the coaching.
🏈Remember, volunteers run kids sport.
🏈Respect the referee.

We’ll post reminders across the month. See you around the grounds!
